Jungle Book Bio Park Tirupati

Opening Hours: 9 A.M To 6 P.M

It is located at the Entrance of Kapila Theertham, which is 2 Km from R.T.C Bus Station.

‘Jungle Book’, the nature interpretation park developed by the Forest department at Kapila Theertham on the city outskirts, helps to educate the public about different aspects of nature, the contents of forests, life processes and the whole eco-system. The city’s close proximity to the thick Tirumala forests has come as an advantage.

The entire stretch is divided into eight zones. “Naturest” has a nature trail path with thatched huts that allows a visitor to sit back and enjoy.

The “Insectarium and Termitarium” zone has termite mounds and insect specimens along with information boards. “Rock Thrills” is for adventure lovers, where one can climb and walk through the panther dens, hare burrows and rock formations.

“Mineral Kingdom” showcases the geological formation of the Tirumala hills. “Malavadigundam”, the breath-taking waterfall is the fifth zone, which is also a habitat for the endangered lizard “golden gecko”.

“Bird’s eye view” at the highest spot has a telescope, through which one can have an amazing view of the city and of the forest skirting it.

“Gundalacheruvu” tank has boating facility, where one can browse through graffiti on wet lands and on water-based life forms. The last one is “Birds paradise”, which resembles an aviary.

The department has given the task of maintenance to an Eco-development committee.

  1. Hello sir,

Your website is very informative and very helpful. I especially would like to appreciate how you have taken time and effort to answer and reply back to each person’s queries with utmost detail and providing complete information. You are doing an excellent job.

I am planning for tirupathi and kalahasthi temples darshan and I have a few doubts.
    1. Can we first visit Tirupathi and then visit Kalahasthi ?
2.Is there any specific special day to visit Tirupathi ? We are planning for Saturday – 6th August and Kalahasthi on sunday
    3. I read on your site that before going to Lord Venkateshwara’s Darshan one should take a holy dip in Swamy Pushkarini and go for Aadhi Varahaswamy Darshan – Is this an absolute must ? or Can We directly enter main temple to seek Lord Venkateshwara’s Blessings?
I am a female, mangal dosha, 10-2-91,moola nakshatra, dhanu rashi, birth place bangalore – Which pooja should i participate and do at Kalahasthi ? I am presently looking forward to get married and shanthi.
i am going with my family of four – 4, so is there any special family pooja, or do we have to take separate individual tickets for each or can they accompany me for my pooja rituals at kalahasthi ?
Can i buy special entry tickets for tirupathi online for 4 people ? is there any time allocation for each ticket ? and how much time before do we have to be in the queue before time mentioned ?
Which is the best, comfortable, safe and reasonable accommodation in tirupathi/tirumala?
Awaiting your earliest reply. Thanking you for all your wonderful favours.

    • Dear Madam,
      1. First Tirupati then Kalahasti
      2. Please book Rs.300 Darshan tickets online at ttdsevaonline website as you are planning on the weekend.
      3. It is not mandatory. You can straight away report at Rs.300 entrance
      4. Rahu ketu pooja will be good for Mangal Dosha. Couples can perform pooja on single ticket. For others it should be individual tickets.
You can select slot while booking RS.300 Darshan tickets. Please be there at queue line on time.

Rooms may not be available now for online booking. It is advisable to look for private accommodation at Tirupati
      Thanks,
