Tirupati Temple Steps Path

There is two Steps way to Tirumala, which are Srivari Mettu and Alipiri Mettu.

Srivari Mettu opens from 6 am – 5:30 pm. It is 2.1 km to reach Tirumala and takes 2 hours 30 mins by walk.

Alipiri Mettu remains open for 24 hours. It is 9 km to reach Tirumala and takes 4 hours by walk. It is advisable to walk without footwear on these paths. Devotees can deposit their luggage at the entrance and can collect on reaching Tirumala.  Divya Darshan tokens will be issued on both paths.

Devotees can park a vehicle at Srivari Mettu and can collect on the next day as this path closes by 5:30 pm.

Devotees who take Alipiri Mettu can park vehicles at Balaji Link bus station, which is paid to park.

All types of Darshan and Seva tickets are eligible for main deity Darshan. Darshan Ticket types

Divya Darshan Tokens

Free Darshan Tickets issued along the path. Devotees who take Alipiri Mettu/Srivari Mettu are eligible for this tickets. The ticket is valid for 24 hours. Devotees can report at Vaikuntam II complex anytime before 24 hours for valid entry.

Sarva Darshan Tickets

Free Darshan tickets have issued to the devotees who reach Tirumala by vehicle. Sarva Darshan usually takes longer during weekends. It is preferable to book Rs.300 Darshan tickets in advance.

Special Entry Darshan Tickets

Rs.300 (Seegra Darshan) Tickets can be booked in online or at TTD counters. 90 days of advance booking is allowed for this ticket. One person can book 6 tickets using 1 login ID. Additional laddus can be booked as well while booking Darshan tickets. It is 2 Extra Laddus for one person. Please select Additional laddus while booking tickets as Darshan tickets can’t be modified.

Supadam Darshan

Privileged Darshan for Infant/NRIs/ Defence Personnel/Donors/ TTD employees/ Srivari Sevaks. Supadam Darshan is available from 12 pm – 5 pm. Devotees are required to carry Valid Photo ID.

Sudarsan Tickets (Rs.50 Darshan tickets)

Rs.50 tickets will be issued at TTD counters. Online booking is not available for this ticket. Darshan is similar to Rs.300 tickets. Tickets will be issued only for Tue, Wed and Thu. Tickets will not be released for peak days such as Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi, Rathasapthami.. etc.

Senior Citizens / Patients / Special ability

It is free entry for these devotees. It is required to carry a Photo ID proof along with Medical reports to access this special entrance. Darshan is available in 2 slots, ie 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Enrollment is required for the devotees i.e at 8:00 am or 1:00 pm.

Arjitha Seva Tickets

Seva tickets can be booked online. Seva tickets include Seva and Darshan, so separate Darshan tickets are not required. Online Seva tickets, Suprabhatha Seva, Thomala, Archana, Nijapada Darshanam and Astadala Pada Padmaradhanamu will have Darshan from the close distance. All others Sevas will be performed to the Utsava deities followed by Darshan thru Supadam.

Tirupati Temple Accommodation

Accommodation is available at Tirumala and Tirupati. Rooms can be booked 90 days in advance either in online or at TTD counters.

Tirumala Accommodation

Rooms are allotted at these counters for current booking. Counter timings: 6:00 am – 10:00 pm

  1. CRO office (Opp. Tirumala bus station)
  2. MBC (SVGH)
  3. Sri Padmavathi Guesthouse
  4. Kausthubham Guesthouse

For internet Bookings, Rooms are allotted at ARP counter which is right opposite to CRO office and located next to Railway reservation counter. Counter remains open for 24 hours.

Tirupati Accommodation

Room allotment will be done at Vishnu Nivasam (Opp Railway station) and Srinivasam Complex (Opp. Bus station).  Madhavam guesthouse rooms will be allotted at Srinivasam complex.

Counter opens from 6 am  – 10:00 pm for general booking.

For Internet booking, room allotment counter opens for 24 hours.

Tirupati Temple Festivals

Annual Brahmotsavam will be held in the months of Oct/Nov. This festival runs for 9 days. Other major festival days are Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi, Rathasapthami, Chakra Theertha Mukkoti, Teppotsavam, Vasanthotsavam, Parveti Utsavam and much more. Devotees can participate in these Seva by purchasing tickets at the CRO office.

Tirupati Temple Bus/Vehicle Entry

The first bus starts at 3 am from Tirupati. Ghat section remains open from 3 am – 12 am. Bus route remains closed for 3 hours. The direct bus is available from Tirupati Railway station. Bus station to Hills. Two Wheeler/Four Wheeler/Bus/Lorry/Jeeps/SUVs/ 12+1 Seater are allowed. Private buses are not allowed to the hills. They can park the vehicle at Balaji Link bus station which is close to Alipiri Entrance.

      sarva darshan and divya darshans are not allowed for poorabishekam, poorabishekam is seva

    • Hi Madam,
      you can avail infant dharshan at supadam gate for below 1 year child and the timings are 8am to 10:30am and 12pm to 5pm.

    My wife is arthritis patient and she can’t remain stand for long time, how can she get darshan without standing long in a que.

    Sir, I am planning to visit tirupati on 6th June. I intend to get a head tonsure there.So an extra pair of dress need to be carried.Are there locker facilities inside the temple complex for keeping my bag?
    Also I would like to know the rush in the temple during the above mentioned time.

      crowd may come down in next month and you can have the locker facility to keep your luggage
